Flood Relief-TWUSA Tumbler

In November 2021, British Columbian’s faced a Natural Disaster, the multiple Atmospheric Rivers caused many people to be displaced, property being damaged and destroyed, essential and vital connections to be severed, and the tragic deaths of five people. The vast amount of damage made the November Storms the Most Costly Natural Disaster in Canadian History

In Response, TWUSA (spearhead my the Marketing and Communications Team) in Partnership with Local Outreach, decided that to sell its Surplus of TWUSA 2021 Tumbler Mugs from the Previous administration at a donation fee of $5. Which directly supported relief charities, aiding those who have been caught in the crisis.

The proceeds from the first 100 sales went to Archway Food Bank. Their mission is to supply Abbotsford with healthy food and other supportive programs. With the flooding , they had been hard at work supplying food to those in need

After the initial 100 tumblers were sold the next charity was United for BC Flood Response Fund! These Funds went towards addressing important needs like housing, food assistance, trauma and mental health support.

In total: You helped us raise a total of 182 tumblers were sold, raising $910

Thank You TWU Students!
